I’ve came to realize that I actually don’t know all there is to music production and especially Trance in particular because it’s such a wide genre to interpret. I came across this beginner tutorial a few weeks ago and I wanted to share it again because this tutorial actually had some useful info I wish I came across back in my early days. The site looks low maintenance but if you hear his sample tracks you might be blown away. However, at the time of writing his music theory wasn’t up to par because his picture of the difference between major and minor scale is off. Other than that it is a great tutorial for the inspiring Dance musician.

This tutorial is for lovers of Uplifting Trance and it goes over how to make a bass line. Now what really caught my eye about this tutorial that any FL Studio user can follow along. Enjoy this one and I suggest you favorite this excellent video for later reference.

This is the third tutorial in the series of Steu’s videos. This is yet again another great installment on the series where it takes on the theory of music based on an electronic style. Goes over using one shot sounds, sample packs, as well as creating loops of bars for drum patterns.
This is STE’s second part tutorial. This tutorial focuses mostly on drum loops and how to sample them, as well as adding effects to them. He shows how to use drum loops in pattern mode as well as chop them so you can rearrange them. The majority of the tutorial is mainly over drum sampling, effects, and other tips and tricks such as panning, cutoff, and velocity.

Found this to be an awesome tutorial. This video is for Hip Hop Timbaland type Beats. This again is another intermediate tutorial very good for listening to and noticing all the extra sounds and percussions going on. Really loving the drum loops in this one and I plan on experimenting with these new found ideas. This is a much shorter video for those who don’t have the time to see the NFX War Beats Timbaland tutorial. I recommend watching both tutorials but especially War Beats. They never put out a bad tutorial.
